Question by Antonina: What to wear to ballet class?
I am taking summer ballet class and I don’t know what to wear. Our studio is not very strict on dress code for classes (like you don’t have to wear a leotard or skirt everyday), just no jeans. I don’t know if I should wear shorts half the time or skirts. And what tops to wear, like regular shirts or a leotard or a tank top. I have been taking ballet for 5 years, but everybody does their own thing. Please tell me something simple to wear.
Thanks is advanced!

Question by Chu Chii: What kind of dance shoes should I get?
Im taking a dance class in my new high school, and the class description online says we will be introduced to ballet, jazz, hip hop, belly dancing, and yoga. Im 15 yrs old. I was thinking ballet shoes? Just your basic canvas or something. I’m a beginner. Also whats better ballet shoe leather or canvas? More comfortable easy to dance in etc. And one more thing how are the Sansha shoe brand? Canvas and leather versions.
Answer by beautiful wreck
Sansha is a very well respected and known ballet shoe brand so if you’ve heard of it and are leaning towards buying a pair then that sounds like a good plan.
