Choose The Right Rad Regulation Uniform For Ballet Classes And Exams
Most people wish to take ballet classes just for fun and fitness and not to follow an exam curriculum. The good news about this is that one can wear whatever he or she likes during practice. But in case a dancer wants to take examinations and follow a prescribed course leading through a grade system then they are likely to choose the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) dance clothing. However, both these institutions have set uniform requirements, the RAD regulation uniform being the most strict to follow.

The Royal Academy of Dance is the most reputable dance academy in the UK and one of the most influential dance institutions in the world. Many renowned ballet dancers in the UK and worldwide have been trained by the RAD teachers and have attended the academy from an early age. It must be mentioned that the RAD regulation uniform has changed little over the last thirty years. It is commonly required to be worn during each grade both for classes and examinations. The grades are pre-primary, primary and graded one to eight. There are different uniform requirements for each grade. On the other hand, it is also up to the teacher to decide how strict the requirements should be. For examinations, however, a dancer will need to put on the prescribed exam wear.
