Get Fit While Looking Foxy – Dance Classes in Salsa, Belly Dancing, and More!

Hey, East Coasters! Wanna get up off of that couch and shake your groove thing? Are you looking for dance studios in Atlanta or dance classes in Philadelphia that will have you trading in your slippers for boogie shoes? Then check out some of these locations that will have you shakin’ your booty like a professional in no time.

Dance studios in Atlanta

When you think belly dance, do you usually think of Shakira? When you see one of her music videos, do you wish that you could dance just like her? Well, then wriggle those hips on over to Atlanta Belly Dance, where you can either drop in on a class for $ 10 per session or sign up for five-week courses for a walk-in rate of $ 60 (though, you can save an extra $ 10 if you sign up early enough). Courses taught include choreography courses, basic courses, and combination or hybrid courses that typically have their own theme, like Totally Turkish or Lovely Lebanese.

Or, if you’d much rather watch someone else do all the hard work, you can hire one of Atlanta Belly Dance’s belly dancers to come on over and shake it for you at your next shindig while you stare in awe at the power of their hips. These belly dancers pride themselves on being appropriate for all ages, and they do not perform at any all-male events, such as bachelor parties, so put those wagging tongues away, fellas, unless there are ladies present.

There are four different dance studios for Atlanta Belly Dance, so you can choose the location that is most convenient for you. In Atlanta, there is Little 5 Points Studio at 1394 McLendon Ave NE, Brookhaven Studio at 2664 Cove Circle NE, and Vinings Allure Studio at 2980 Cobb Parkway, Suite 104. Or you can head to Norcross for Peachtree Corners Studio at 5770 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. #100.

If hip-hop dancing is more your thing, try Dance It Off in Sandy Springs at 6780 Roswell Road, Suite D210. Hip-hop is one of their newest editions, and they also get rave reviews for the classes they teach in such styles as salsa, tap, jazz, and Broadway dancing, amongst others.

Dance Classes Philadelphia

Take a dance class in Philadelphia, and you too will want to run up the Rocky steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art when you’re done. (Did you know that this is the second most famous movie location in the world?)

Try out Jenkintown Dance Arts if you want to help your child brush up on his or her ballet or tap skills. Located at 714 West Avenue in Jenkintown, this studio gets high marks for teacher Miss Chrissie who’s not only a dancer who knows her stuff, but she’s also great with teaching kids and keeping their attention.

Philly Dance Fitness in – you guessed it – Philly is another great location where you can brush up on your ballet. They also have a Cardio Pop class if you want to stay in shape without all of that other boring stuff that can come along with a typical workout.
