I am going to start teaching dance soon and I really need some music for my classes. I’ll be teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and modern so I will need a variety of types. How likely is it that I will get caught for downloading music? Also, what would be some good songs to warm up to and do combinations to for jazz and modern/lyrical.

You can use Limewire. I don’t know exactly how to download it, but I have had it for years and haven’t gotten caught. It is easy and reliable. Here are some good song for jazz-
Single Ladies (it has a great beat)
Pretty much any music with good beats! My teacher uses a lot of Justin Timberlake for warm-up. Have fun!

You could see if the music is on YouTube and download it using DVDvideosofts free YouTube to mp3 converter ( it’s an online download). Or, if you ask your teacher, they could probably make you you a copy of the disk they use in class.

Itunes. look up Vivaldi or Tchaikovsky (sorry i know how to spell that but i spelled it wrong!) or some classical composer.
go on www.dancemelody.com/download then register. there are free music for teaching ballet and dancers that teach ballet.
