What are some exercises I can do to help prepare myself for ballet class?

Question by Dana Lovespie: What are some exercises I can do to help prepare myself for ballet class?
I’m not out of shape, just not toned, so I am going to my real first ballet class in a week and I wanted to get into shape. Thanks!
I know you can’t get super toned in a week but what are some good work out things to do?

    In my ballet class, this is our workout type schedule:

    Do barre work, like rhondejoms ..I’m sorry for my horrible spelling LOL I’ll try my best.

    Then, we go center floor and do the butterfly stretch and put our nose to our feet then stretch our legs out, point feet and grab, flex feet, grab, ect.

    then we move on to straddles and we do middle straddle holds, left holds, and right holds.

    then we’ll get up and do hip flexers on both sides, get up and do all 3 splits. (right, left, and center) then that’s about it.
